Expect a Change Coming
I hope this message finds you well. As the owner of Trace Ortho Lab, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your business, your trust, and in many cases your friendship since I first opened my doors and turned on a lathe in 2011. It has been my sincerest pleasure to serve and grow with you in the care and treatment of your patients. I want you to know I'll continue to work hard to deliver for your practice and earn your business in 2025 and beyond.
When I first began taking cases, I was handling all of the manufacturing, the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable; I ordered all the raw material needed to manufacture, created this website, started a Facebook Page, and answered and made every phone call; I cleaned the toilets, the lab, and the delivery vehicle, initiated and fostered relationships with colleagues and other professionals in the industry, determined the daily route schedule, and acted as Lab Driver picking up rx's and impressions as well as delivering cases. I was, and continue to be, the only lab in not only Seattle, but I would venture the Pacific Northwest that operated under a two business day turn-around. Regardless of the complexity of the appliance, it was ready, exactly as ordered, and delivered on time within two business days of pick-up. I'm proud of that, as well as the fact that the lab has experienced consistent growth these 13 years. The staff I have hand chosen and personally trained in that time, are people I value, trust, and respect. We have focused on exceptional execution of your prescriptions while at the same time cultivating a healthy work-life balance. The demands of the two business day turn around with the steady increase in cases have created an untenable situation. In truth, my team and I are finding it more and more challenging to maintain this rigorous pace while continuing to ensure accuracy with case management, internal controls, and exceptional quality.
Consequently, starting January 1, 2025, Trace Ortho Lab will transition to a five business day turn-around for all cases picked up after this date. I'm extremely proud of the appliances my team and I manufacture, and am humbled to have been able to offer exceptional service and expeditious turn-around times for as long as we have. I also understand this change may create an inconvenience, and for this reason, hope providing ample notice will facilitate a smooth transition for your staff and patients. Our commitment to delivering high-quality products on time remains our top priority, and we believe this adjustment will allow us to continue meeting your needs effectively.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Warm regards,
Tracie Thomas
